His passion for storytelling is rooted in lived experience. During his nine years of service as a U.S. Army combat cameraman, he completed over 250 missions across two deployments in Iraq and Syria. While working under the Signal Corps providing intelligence, he directly supported propaganda, reconnaissance, surveillance, and cybersecurity operations in the Middle East. Amid the chaos of war, he produced music under fire in tents, hiding in bunkers after running from rockets, turning adversity into creativity and trauma into therapy. It was in the military that he mastered photography, videography, and storytelling, but also learned a hard truth: he didn’t own any of it.

 

The turning point came when the Army hired independent contractors for a marketing campaign for the U.S. Army Airborne School. The civilian contractors weren’t authorized as passengers on military aircraft, so they needed someone both highly skilled and airborne-qualified. WarBaby was that needle in a haystack. Without hesitation, he drove two hours on short notice and delivered elite footage under pressure, accomplishing the mission. But when his boots hit the ground, he was forced to sign away his copyright and credit as the author of his work. To make matters worse, he received harsh criticism from the civilian contractors he supported, who didn’t understand the danger, complexity, or expertise required to capture those images while in the sky. That moment, his lowest as a creator, solidified his purpose: never again would he create or document without owning the work he risked his life to produce, and he believes no other creator should have to either.

By applying color theory to music and music theory to visual design, he discovered how to link vibrations across senses, creating harmony and emotional resonance. Each discipline informs and strengthens the others without requiring constant practice.
